CHISCA & SOUTH KOREA
The new Chisca South Korea & Japan collection takes inspiration from the recent trips I made to the Far East, visiting enchanting and special places that I have fallen hopelessly in love with.
Specifically, the SK collection is inspired by the Dancheong technique, which is a Korean method of painting and decorating wood, found on traditional Korean buildings. This term literally means "cinnabar and blue-green" and in Korean it is sometimes also translated as "red and blue" in reference to the main colors of this technique.
In addition to the decorative elements, Dancheong emphasized the connection with nature by arranging the colors so that the shades of red were found towards the bottom of the building and the green tones towards the top, symbolizing the typical colors of a tree: in this way, the building, as a creation of man, could blend and be in harmony with the surrounding nature.

Unique fabrics born from a love for art
The new Chisca Family collection was born from a dream that has finally come true, namely to enrich the fabrics of Sardinian tradition with the prints of the artistic works of Grazia Bardi (my mother) and Pierina Lunesu (my sister), to whom I will never stop being grateful.
